Anita Krogsøe Skou

As a former student at the Department of Business Development and Technology, Anita Krogsøe Skou has a great insight into the department. She also knows several of her colleagues from her time as a student and shares their great passion for technology-driven business development and digital transformation.

Why did you choose to work at the Department of Business Development and Technology?

I look forward to being part of the Centre of Business Development (CBD) as I share my colleagues’ passion for technology-driven business development. I’m very interested in developing and implementing digital transformation strategies.

As a former student at the department, I have already met several members of staff, and I had the pleasure of working with Mirko Presser when he came the department in 2017. I have also followed Annabeth Aagaard via her publications. In this way, I have already gained a great insight into how competent a team CBD is.

What is your area of expertise and what will you be doing here?

I will be involved in CBD’s research projects on digital transformation and digital business models. My main focus area is company connections in relation to research and case studies. Apart from these collaborations, I will be responsible for collecting data, developing tools and cases. My other focus area will be to design an e-learning platform for CBD.

What is your educational background?

I graduated from the MSc in Engineering at the Department of Business Development and Technology in 2017. Here I specialised in digital transformation, BMI and disruption/new digital business models, user experiences and an innovative use of IoT. I have a Bachelor’s degree in industrial design.

What have you done before?

Throughout my professional career, I have worked with digital platforms. This has given me a growing interest in the implementation of new technologies. I have always been interested in taking unused business potential and activating it through new digital strategies.

I come from a position in the project office at Vestas Wind Solutions. Here I worked on a pilot project on the design and implementation of a new collaboration platform for the project managers. It was part of an overall strategy of reducing the complexity of their project management information system (PMIS).

Please tell us a bit about yourself, your family and your leisure activities.

I live with my family just north of Aarhus. We love spending time together in the beautiful countryside along the coast and in Mols Bjerge. I’m very interested in innovation, new technology and modern art as it expands my horizons and gives me new ideas and input. I’m most relaxed when I’m driving my Yamaha XS 650 or when I’m grafting fruit trees in my garden.
