Third year presentations

The head of the research group to which the PhD student belongs is responsible that a third and last presentation during the third year of the PhD student (a so-called pre-defence-like activity) is arranged and carried out.

The head of the research group sets the date of the presentation together with the supervisors, opponents (internal faculty members) and the PhD student.

The third-year presentation should take place approx. three months prior to the expected submission.

The purpose of the presentation is for the PhD student to obtain feedback prior to the actual defence. The student should arrange with the opponents if there are particular chapters of his/her project that (s)he is particularly interested in discussing.

The duration of the presentation is approx. 1 hour. No written feedback will be provided subsequent to the presentation.
