Speaker: Alessandro Sancino, Professor of Public Leadership, Strategy & Social Innovation at the University of Milan, Italy.
Abstract: Every minute, we send more than 42 million messages on WhatsApp, make over 5 million searches on Google, and spend almost 300 thousand dollars on Amazon. Who is leading this digitally interconnected World Wide Web, and who is providing leadership amid this turmoil in local places? Moving from these facts and challenged by these questions, the seminar will present original evidence on public leadership dynamics in Italian cities, towns and villages and discuss the threats and opportunities for contemporary public leadership in times of digital disruptions.
