Christina Tsitsiva

A short intro: Who are you and what’s your professional background?
Hi, I’m Christina Tsitsiva 👋. I hold a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Technology Based Business Development (TBBD), and I’m currently working as a research assistant at BTECH. My passion lies in leveraging science, data and smart tools to tackle real-world sustainability challenges.

What is your area of work?
Right now, I’m part of the CompositeCircle project, where I get to explore the entire value chain for decommissioning wind turbine blades. I’m involved in analysing costs and environmental impacts of recycling methods, developing decision-making tools, and helping to shape a digital product passport. I’m also supporting the Experimental and Analytical Lab.

Why did you choose to work at BTECH?
I joined BTECH because I was drawn to its multifaceted mindset and its focus on applied, real-world challenges. I’m really inspired by the mix of technology, business and sustainability. It’s a great environment for someone who enjoys asking questions, digging into problems and finding better ways of doing things.

Would you like to share a bit about yourself, your family and your hobbies?
Outside of work, I’m a naturally curious person. I enjoy exploring new places, and I love photography as a way to notice the small details. I also like reading mystery books  🔍 and listening to vinyl records 🎵.
