Meet Keld Pedersen – an associate professor with a passion for both digital solutions and health 🚴♂️
Here you can get to know him better and read about his academic journey, research interests and leisure activities.
Short introduction: Who are you, and what is your professional background?
My name is Keld Pedersen. My professional background is an MSc (cand.scient.) in Computer Science with a specialisation in information systems. Subsequently, I worked in the IT industry for many years. I later completed a PhD, also within the field of information systems.
What is your area of work?
I have conducted research in several different areas. Initially, my work focused on software process improvement, later on project portfolio management, and within the field known as eGovernment.
In recent years, I have primarily worked with the digital support of behaviour change and the prevention of chronic disease, and this is the area I continue to focus on.
From a teaching perspective, I have taught a wide range of courses covering all aspects of software development (analysis and design, software engineering, programming, project management, and quality management) as well as the business use of IT (IT strategy, process improvement, benefits realisation, technology adoption, etc.).
Why did you choose to work at BTECH?
In connection with the relocation of the ITKO programme, I moved with it – and I am very happy about that.
Would you like to tell us a little about yourself, your family and your hobbies?
I am 62 years old, have three children, and spend a lot of time on sports – primarily cycling. I am very interested in everything related to health.
