Deadline: (due to lunch): Tuesday, 22 September.
Agenda:
The realism and fidelity of industrial process simulations are significantly influenced by the unpredictability and difficulty of modeling complex human behavior. Artificial intelligence provides methods for learning and integrating human behavior into simulation models, making the analysis and optimization of industrial processes with simulation more reliable and effective. The workshop presents state-of-the-art methods for learning and predicting human behavior in industrial process simulations, along with the theory and practice of conducting simulation studies to verify and validate simulation models and derive design recommendations for process optimization. The workshop introduces various simulation tools in group work to apply the theoretical concepts discussed.
Tentative agenda of the workshop:
| 09:00-10:00 | Introduction to business process simulation |
| 10:00-11:00 | Group work
|
| 11:00-11:40 | Introduction to modeling human decision-making |
| 11:40-12:00 | Gameplay of a serious game |
| 12:00-13:00 | Lunch provided by BTECH |
| 13:00-13:30 | Introduction to planning a scientific simulation study |
| 13:30-14:15 | Group work
|
| 14:15-15:00 | Simulating human behavior in job shops: A case study |
| 15:00-16:00 | Application: Development of a simulation model that integrates human behavior in a programming environment and execution of a simulation study |
Sven and Jan-Phillip will be at BTECH for the period 23-30/9.
