Masud Parvez

Why did you choose to work at BTECH?
I have a strong passion for stakeholder management, root cause analysis, and developing effective solutions. This inspired me to take on this role, as it enables me to support international students in overcoming the various challenges they face in their academic journey. Having experienced the transition as an international student at AU Herning myself, I understand the difficulties of adapting to a new academic system, culture and environment. By collaborating with different stakeholders, I strive to help students navigate academic, cultural and social challenges, ensuring a smooth transition, academic success and timely graduation.

What is your area of work?
I work as an international students’ welfare supporter at BTECH. My role involves working closely with the head of studies, lecturers, student counsellors, international coordinators and career consultants to ensure that international MSc in Technology Based Business Development students receive the necessary support to graduate on time. This includes helping them adapt to academic life at AU, understand Danish culture, navigate academic rules and group work, use academic tools and engage in academic activities. Additionally, I provide general welfare support throughout their enrolment to help them integrate into both academic and social life.

What is your professional background?
My professional background is in engineering and quality management, with extensive experience as a production quality engineer at Walton Hi-Tech PLC in Bangladesh, specialising in manufacturing and exporting refrigerators and freezers. Prior to joining BTECH, I worked briefly as an office assistant at Livet På Øen A/S in Denmark, where I was responsible for inventory management, driving continuous improvements and providing administrative support and event coordination in Markedshallen.

Would you like to share a bit about yourself, your family and your hobbies?

Personally, I am a sports enthusiast and get a lot of energy from activities like jogging, cycling and various indoor games.
