Why did you choose to work at BTECH?
Hi, my name is Thuseinthan Inpabalan. I was born in Sri Lanka, grew up in Malawi and completed my bachelorโ€™s degree in Malaysia. I am currently working as a research assistant at the Department of Business Development and Technology. I chose this because I have a strong interest in combining technological innovation with business strategy. The department's emphasis on research and interdisciplinary collaboration provides the ideal environment for me to pursue my professional goals, where technology and business intersect to create impactful solutions. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to explore cutting-edge business development strategies and contribute to the advancement of technology-based business solutions.

What is your area of work?
I am currently working on the Greenership and EMPHASIS projects, both Erasmus initiatives aimed at developing valuable educational content for the green sector. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with partners from France, Hungary and Greece to create impactful learning materials that address key topics such as gender equality in the green sector and the importance of renewable energy for the future. My role involves working with multidisciplinary partners, strategic management of projects and research to develop educational content for the green sector. With my multidisciplinary background, I contribute to content development, data analysis and market research to support the transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive future.

What is your professional background?
My professional background is in mechatronics engineering, and I have gained substantial experience in the wind energy and apparel sectors. After earning my MSc in Engineering (Technology-Based Business Development) from Aarhus University and an MBA from the University of West London, I spent over 1.5 years working in Denmarkโ€™s wind energy sector, where I acquired valuable expertise in project management. My diverse work experience spans IT, engineering and business strategy, and I am continuously eager to learn and grow in this rapidly evolving landscape.

Would you like to share a bit about yourself, your family and your hobbies?
I have a strong passion for exploring new technologies and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems. Outside of my professional life, I am deeply connected to my family and enjoy spending quality time with them. I also have a keen interest in activities that combine creativity and problem-solving, such as exploring new innovations and staying engaged in tech and business communities. In terms of sports, I enjoy both watching and playing cricket ๐Ÿ โ€“ a sport that has played a crucial role in shaping who I am today. As I continue my journey at the Department of Business Development and Technology, I look forward to contributing to impactful research and collaborating with like-minded individuals to develop business and technology solutions that address the challenges of today and tomorrow.
