Say hello to Lise Tordrup, our new associate professor

Read more about her work areas, professional background, hobbies and more.

A short intro: Who are you and what’s your professional background?
My name is Lise Tordrup, and I come from the Department of Management in Aarhus, where I have worked since 2014 and as an associate professor since 2018. Prior to this, I was affiliated with Aalborg University at the Department of Computer Science, where I completed both my master’s degree and my PhD.

What is your area of work?
My PhD focused on how agile and traditional methods can be combined, and since then, my research has centered on agility, digitalisation, and project management. My current focus is on digital sustainability, where I examine how technologies can support sustainability across environmental, social, and economic dimensions.

I have primarily taught subjects such as software development, IT project management, and strategic management on the ITKO programme, the MSc in Digital Business Management, and the Master’s in IT. Since 2022, I have served as head of studies for the Master’s in IT. In addition, I am chair of the Programme Board of Studies for Corporate Communication and IT, under which the ITKO programme is organised.

Why did you choose to work at BTECH?
In connection with the relocation of the ITKO programme, I was transferred to the Department of Business Development and Technology, where I already have several collaboration partners.

Would you like to share a bit about yourself, your family and your hobbies?
I was born and raised in Aalborg but now live in Mårslet, a small town near Aarhus, with my two sons, Vincent, who turns 11 this month, and Maximilian, who turns 13 next month. We have two Norwegian forest cats, and in my spare time, I do dressage a couple of times a week.
